Eka Software Solutions, the leading global provider of Smart Commodity Management software solutions, announced today that Boliden has selected Eka.Metals for commercial activities within its two main Business Areas: Mines and Smelters.

Boliden is a major integrated mining, smelting, refining and recycling company operating 4 mines and five smelters across Europe with operations in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Ireland producing copper and zinc as well as important quantities of lead, silver and gold.

Eka’s comprehensive solution set will provide Boliden with real-time information on positions, inventory, exposures, risk management, profit and loss analysis. Boliden will benefit from a single, fully integrated system that links all business units across front, middle and back office, giving them One Solution, One View. This will enable Boliden to automate processes as a step towards streamlined operations and to achieve a greater visibility over global operations.

“Winning Boliden is an endorsement of our strategy to be a specialist solution provider to the mining, smelting and refining segment addressing those areas not covered by traditional ERP systems. Our deep understanding of the Metals & Mining industry comes from internal expertise and being intensely customer focused,” said Manav Garg, CEO & Founder, Eka.
